Fermenting

I would like to think that I'm aging gracefully, but as I creep closer and closer to 30, I'm realizing that my creep is neither graceful or slow.

This was brought to light late last week when I attempted to push myself out of a deep 1 1/2 person chair. I've done this move a million times but for some reason, THIS TIME, both shoulders gave out in a very loud cacophony of pain. I've known a relative amount of pain; multiple surgeries, bone pins being removed sans anesthesia...either way, I've felt pain and trust me, this was on par, if not above, breaking a bone. Actually, I wish I had broken a bone because that would be treatable. Now I just have "vague muscle pains" which are not "vague" and are quite painful.

The most annoying part of everything is being unable to perform basic activities and having to actually think about whether or not I'll be able to perform said activity. I've been forced to sleep strictly on my back for over a week, and it's driving me nuts.

Worst case scenario I tough it out until Seattle mid-September, but in the interim, it's a bear.

Hope you had a great Labor Day!
