High Caliber

I just removed a chunk of my right thumb with a can opener, and am now trying to reduce the amount of blood gushing out of my thumb. And I may have offended the neighbor kids with my language.

The weather down here in SD has been fantastic this summer; and not the way in which most people would assume. So far 90% of the summer has been 10-15 degrees lower than typical. That means that instead of 90+F temps, we've had more tolerable 70+F temps, and because of the lovely weather we get to spend more evenings outside. Which would be how I stumbled upon a unused 357 Magnum bullet on our front steps.I have a very limited knowledge of how one best disposes of a bullet and so it's currently lounging in our kitchen.

In other house-related news, we finally purchased a back door for the one that fell off last week AS WELL AS a knob set for our front door which we have been unable to use for nearly four months. If not longer. It's the small accomplishments around here that bring us joy!

Hopefully, you had a great Labor Day weekend and have another exciting one quickly approaching. Mine will be spent working on the house and washing the car, which sounds good by me.
